went the cheap route: I use a stock seat from an FLHR if/when I ride solo. Switching back to 2-up with QD backrest is a snap.

If you're tall I know you won't like the Harley Sundowner Solo. I believe that the Corbin, C&C and Danny Grays will set you back on the bike more. Pretty sure all of them have a back rest option. I've got a Mammoth Chopper's solo on my bike that I switch out with a Sundowner Solo for trips. The Sundowner moves me up a little too far and I'm only 5'11". The Mammoth Choppers solo doesn't have a back rest option and it really isn't designed with comfort as it's top priority. I have a couple of pictures in the gallery of my bike with the Mammoth seat on it.

+1- |I'm 5-11" w/ a 32" inseam and the sundowner is comfortable for me but with longer legs there would be issues!

Here is my 2004 RKC. I am using a Mustang Seat and it is a quick swap to go either way.

Corbin solo. No complaints here. One nice thing about it is that it easily comes on and off with one key. When it's on, it's locked on.

I have a Corbin Hollywood Solo. Kinda wished I had got the classic solo so I could run a backrest. I like the seat, but had it reworked with memory foam. After 5000 miles it did not break in to my expectation

Danny Gray Big Seat and small removable backrest. It sets you back and down a bit. Very comfortable.
