A buddy tried to get me on a RG because everywhere we went he was the lone wolf. This guy dressed this RG up to be a Ultra and then traided it for one!!!

I've had both. The handling on my 09 EG Classic is comparable, if not a little better than it was on my 07 Road Glide. Downside of the RG is less protection from the elements in the winter. So now I have great handling and comfortable cold weather riding. Either choice would have been fine but I wouldn't have any regrets about your decision. You still have a great handling bike.

I have had 2 U.C. love them both. Put 140,000 miles on my 92. Got 35,000 on my 06. Would have more but had a BEAR incident last October.

You definitely got me! I was wondering half way through how anyone could buy a new Ultra and wish they'd got a Sharkee. Those Road Glide folks are a fiercely local group with their secret handshake and the left eye wink as it's done. They seem to love em.... Or they know that now that they have em, they might as well join the Klan, and continue the myth. The wind buffeting is the main problem for me. I like the idea of the solid mounted fairing, but with a large enough windshield to make a difference, they look funky to me, and with a small enough one, the quality of the ride is terrible with your head bouncing around in the wind... Just one opinion among many. Nice choice on the Ultra.
