Default Rear Shock Dust Boot Replacement?

Does anyone know where I can get replacement dust boots for my rear shocks?

I was in the process of removing my rear tire to get a slow leak fixed and found one of the boots split in half.

I also discovered that my rear saddle bag support broke. This is the second time. It broke right at the bumper interface. WTF.

You can't get replacement boots for the HD air shocks. If this is on your 03, it would be better to purchase a set of barely used take-offs from someone here (post in the WTB section) or on ebay. That way you would have a new set of shocks and be done with it. On the other issue, did you remove your rear bumper? If you did and don't have the support bracket to replace it, that is why yours keeps breaking.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll put a WTB post for rear shocks. I can't believe that something so simple is not available.

I do have the original bumper on. This time I caught the breakage before the bumper fails and the bag being to sag.

Leave 'em off. They don't really do anything but trap water and cause the bottom of your shock to rust out.

Default replacement dust boots

i just bought a pair of new dust boots from a 4X4 truck supply store that fit - just a little long, but cut with razor - no problem. I can get mfr. and model if you like. $ 5 each!

Just saw this post. I would like to know the manufacturer of a dust boot that will work as both of mine are broken. I have an 02 FHLTC.

I don't remember the brand, but find an offroad 4x4 truck shop and they have a ton of them hanging around - cheap, too! I used a box cutter to shorten the length and a plastic zip tie on the top of the shock. They work great.

Four Wheel Drive Wholesalers sells colored shock covers that might fit.

I put silicone spray on my vehicles' dust boots including the ones on the air shocks. I do it about twice a year; it keeps them pliable and gets me to eye ball them for damage.

I know this doesn't help you now but it might be useful in the future.

To prevent over-spray, I spray the lube on a rag and wipe it on the air shock boots.
