Default slip on exhaust

Ok here we go another exhaust question, I have been given the run around by several dealers. I have an 09 roadking, I wanted the Reinhart slip on exhaust, I was told I could not do the down load, I needed a fuel pac or race tuner, then I was told by an indy that you don't need to do any of them, just put the pipes on and run them, he said nothing will happen to the bike due to the O2 sensors, so if someone could push me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I am not looking for future mods or more performance, I am enjoying the bike but I just want a better sound. Thanks

Listen to your Indy, now if you start putting air cleaner or other mods on also you may need the fuel management.

You will be fine with just adding slip on mufflers....If you change out the air cleaner then you will have to do a fuel management system.

As stated above, your not going to change the air fuel ratio by just changing the mufflers. When you change your air cleaner, you will need to do something at that point. HD's O2 set up is a narrow band system that will only adjust your air fuel ratio in a very small area.

Thumbs up

Absolutely, do the slip-ons only with no worries. I did it on my my 07 FLHTCU and to date, no issues. And people can hear me coming now! I'me getting ready to put on a freer flowing air cleaner and a PCIII. But runningn with just the pipes has been fine, no ill effects.

I have a 09 SG with just Reinhart slip ons. I hear a lot about these bikes being a little lean but so far I have no issues. Latter I may insall a different breather then I'll go with the Thndermax.
