I'd agree with not using pledge (or any product containing silicone) in a body shop environment.

Still it appears that silicone is very common in detailing products and any painter would assume that it may have been used on whatever vehicle they are working on and prep accordingly.

Dave,
I checked the Meguiar's web site, not all of their products are "body shop safe". The only product that came up as silicone free is a dressing for tires, rubber moldings etc.
Granted, I did not find a list of ingredients or MSDS info.
MSDS or material safety data sheets are a very good place to start however, many MSDS's will not list ingredients that are secret or proprietary in nature. Unfortunatele flaw in the system. Especially as an emergency responder which I was for several years.

Thanks for the verbose breakdown of this miracle product! I can only shudder at the thought of the ingredients in aspartame! I think you're the first bonafide scientist on the forums. Let's see now, If we just had a cowboy, we'd have all the occupations to complete the village people band. Just kidding, we can always use more brains on the forums.

Just wondering is this " LEMON" PLEDGE, or just " PLEDGE" I looked at the store and found Lemon pledge or Orange pledge but not just " PLEDGE".
