If somebody wants something bad enough, they'll take it no matter what you do to prevent it. Just make sure your insurance is paid up and has the right coverages to replace your bike and all its accessories. Don't lose sleep over this too much.

My 2009 came with a ROADLOK which is a disk lock that stays on the bike. The dealer had it on so I had to take it. Made pretty good and Gieco gives you a discount for it.
When I travel, I chain the bike to a fixed object, set the alarm and hope to see it in the AM. Been doing it for years without a problem. I always stay at a better hotel, cheep isn't the way to go when you have been riding all day and if poss park by the front door and tip the desk person to watch it. Be Safe JIM

Paid up insurance!! With limits to cover everything!
On mine I will only park in well lit, busy area. Normally near other bikes when possible. When at a hotel while on the road, if I cant park the bike within proximate view from the room (request ground floor), I will put up front by lobby under canopy. Most decent hotels will allow this.
I also have a coated cable and integrated lock that goes around wheel and frame.
Lock forks, set alarm, install cable lock, cover. If this bike can be picked up and put into a truck...you are going to need a fork-lift!!

So far this has worked for me. I am more worried about some idiot pulling parts off. I liked the thread regarding detachable bag theft I read a while back. I have installed some hardware that makes it MUCH more difficult and time consuming to remove the side bags because if this site.

I bought a Road Glide.... thieves walk right past it, for those blinged out bikes...(smile)

bring the bike into your ground floor room?

Be mindful of where you park the bike

as noted above, if a thief WANTS your bike, it's gone, and before your alarm will notify you... I'm not saying that you should just surrender, but a skilled bad guy, will cut your chain just as well as lift the bike, and the bike you're chained to

Does your insurance cover the 103" build w/ cams, all your chrome, exhaust and other bling? Most do not care how much you have in your bike and only cover replacement costs. I have had insurance for specifed value but, you will pay dearly. Now is a good time before riding season to talk to your insurance on what they REALLY cover (accident or rip-off). Don't make the mistake many have made, only to find out after the fact.

I use the Xena disc lock with alarm and an orange rope to the grips to bring everyone's attention to the fact that the disc is locked.

And I rarely wash it so they'll go after a prettier bike.

Think like a Thief. Have you parked where a truck can be backed up easy? Thieves are lazy, make it as difficult as possible for them. They want the easy money and don't want to have to work for it. A forklift.....nope, 4 or 5 Guys will pick it up and throw it in the truck in a heartbeat. Remember they are not worrying about damaging it. A gang down here in SFL had a panel truck with an 'I' beam that slid out with a sling. 30 seconds and....gone!

Get a big cover that says "Honda" on it.
