Default 2 into 1 Exhaust Question

Is anyone aware of a 2 into 1 exhaust system available on the market today that has a single 1 3/4" muffler connection? In other words, are there any 2 into 1 systems out there that will accept a muffler with a standard H-D 1.75" id inlet?

Thanks for the help!

Defeats the purpose of the system. That is way to small. Unless, you have a low compression pan-head.

So, what you're saying is you don't know the answer to my question. Thanks for the help (and your unsolicited opinion).

No, what I am saying is most aftermarket performance companies will not hinder performance by running such a small id, ie stock opening. Why would a company make a product that decreases perfromance. That is why I used the Pan-head reference. TC need a lot more pipe to breath. You could always design your own. I was trying to help. I've have spent many hours before I went with my 2:1 and not once had I ever seen a opening smaller than 2".

Ok, thanks for the input, molsen. I had this "mad scientist" plan of buying a 2 into 1 exhaust, using my right-side muffler with it, and keeping my existing left-side exhaust and muffler as a "dummy" to keep the look while gaining the 2 into 1 performance, but I guess it was just a bad idea.

If your stock exhaust is still on you could try blocking off the side that runs on the left side(I am assuming the rear cylinder exhaust splits to both sides) and see how it works, I know not the answer to your question but if it runs acceptable to you then you could look around for a custom exhaust builder to fab one up to your specs, if an off the shelf system cannot be found.

That's an option I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you are looking for a dummy pipe. Fat Cat and thunder header makes a ghost pipe. If you want. Get a 2-1/2 baffle muffler for the right weld a expansion plug after the left side and you will get similar to what you want. I remeber some one doing that long ago. You would need to get a tuner if you dont't have 1 to accomdate for some of the restriction.

Another idea, Fuelmoto has a setup where the left pipe is constricted and the right pipe is opened up and gives you a quasi-2:1. Forgot about that. That might be the ticket you are after. According to Jamie it made some decent power.

Thanks a bunch for the ideas, molsen. Yes, I have a PCIII USB I bought from Jamie. I got it when I installed the 103 ci kit and SE intake. I'll give Fuel Moto a call and see what they have to say.

Thanks again to all.

The Fuel Moto Dyno-Tuned Jackpots emulate a 2-into-1 and retain use of the stock head pipes. The results are excellent, with a 2" baffle on the right, 1.75" on the left with a 3/4" reversion cone on the left.
