Royal Purple oil

The thing is a lot of folks will respond that they use a certain oil and had no problems. But what problems would they expect?

the truth is that you can run just about any oil that meets the factory specs. change it at the recommended interval and you should have many trouble free miles (at least from an oil standpoint)
was that an amsoil sponsored test? here is an independent test in the quest to find the ultimate oil. turns out, there isn't one. some oils are better in some areas than others. end result? use what makes you feel good, and follow recommended change intervals.

Can anyone show me an oil related failure that wasn't due to lack of oil, neglected oil change intervals or lack of oil pressure due to a mechanical problem?
Amsoil, mobile1, Syn3, Royal Purple should Never cause a failure if replaced when due or replaced when severly overheated. Wear is going to occur wth all oil, particles in the oil will cause wear faster, mechanical failure will cause extensive wear.
Pick your poisen, all oils that meet oem specs are fine.

Ran the 20w50 (not MaxCycle) in my '96 RK, now with 120k miles, never had the heads removed even for base gaskets. CCP in 1997 was 155F/160R and in 2006 (last check) 160F/160R, with no change in oil consumption. Still using it in the '07 SG. Excellent product, but there are other fine synthetics available, too.
