My only suggestion is tighten the bolts, but don't torque em down until after you mount the backrest or tourpack so that the mounting points can adjust. Otherwise you will break the plastic on the mounting points. $8 to replace.

I did my own. It is, by far, one of the easiest things I have done to my bike.
