i'm considering the beefed up tour pak hinges along with the kits that transforms my lowers into quick detach lowers.

both descriptions say for 06 and newer, but in the past i have read that it doesn't really matter. just looking for clarity before i buy away.

If it says 06 and newer in the accessory catalog, I would go with that.

 

I'd say go talk to your friendly parts guy. Or perhaps your Service guy. Explain the situation and ask them what "They" think the difference is that requires it to only fit 06 and up. Often times they can isolate the difference immediately, and you can just make a slight adjustment, and it'll go on fine. Or they'll let you know absolutely why you can't. Either way, problem solved. Hope this helps.

 

I would just call someplace like chicago harley with the part numbers they will tell you if they will fit your bike....
