Default V & H Ovals

OK, I just came into a set of Ovals. The question is are they too loud? For those that have them how do they compare to other pipes? Will they get louder once I add the dresser duals?
Anything that anybody has would be welcome...
thanks all

They are a sweet sounding pipe to me & yes they will sound different with the duals. Great sounding pipes and quality is second to none !!

I went through several different pipes before settling on my Ovals. Nice deep sound, not really loud unless you get on it. I can putt out of the neighborhood without really bothering anybody. They will get a little louder over time, but still not obnoxious unless you get on it.

Of the different slip ons I've tried, I like the V&H Ovals the best. They did get somewhat louder when I put the tru duals on with them.

I've had Ovals and I now have Reinharts, I found the Ovals "tini" sounding compared to the Reinharts IMO

When i had them on mine,I thought they were not as loud as the SE slipon's.
One thing with the Oval's is,the baffles rust quickly.

I love the sound of mine. Can't compare them to others as these are the only ones I've owned.

I have the ovals slip ons with stock headers. Seems to me the V&H are not as loud as the Rineharts. At highway speeds u harley hear them and can here radio nice and clear.
if you are heavy on the throttle, then yes, they do bark, but still not as loud as the RH.
Overall , they have a nice Harley sound to them and look great. Yes if you go with true duals, i have heard them and are a little deeper in sound and bark louder, but its all how hard you are on the throttle.
id put the V&H ovals one notch louder than the SE and less than RH..jut my thoughts.

I have a set with duals and would agree with the earlier post that they do have a bit of a tinny sound - but I think they sound great. On the highway if you are just cruising, they are not loud at all, but if you crack the throttle, they explode! In fact, on the first ride with my GF, we where having a conversation on the highway and it struck me all the sudden how quiet they were until I hammered down.
