Question Cee Bailey's SSC for RG updates?

I'm poised to order a Cee Bailey's SSC shield for my RG and was wondering if anybody who installed one of these has any updates on how well they work? There were some good early comments but a followup would be great. I'm looking at the 14" Euro bye the bye. Tx.

I'm thinking there is going to be all kinds of reports on these shields soon as the good riding weather is just about here. It seems quite a few RG riders grabbed this shield, alot like the Klockwerks one when it came out. I went with the KW one and now am also waiting to see what comes of this one.

I installed the 15'' Euro a couple of months ago. I have about 500 miles riding with it in mixed road conditions, city and hwy. Eventhough it is lower than the stock windshield, I get less buffeting and can hear the radio better at all speeds.

Yesterday, I was riding with my half helmet and stopped for fuel. I took off my sunglasses and laid them on the passenger seat. After fueling, I took off and did not even notice that I forgot to put my glasses back on, and yes they are history. The point is there was so little wind that I did not notice that I was without the wrap around glasses. I just had my normal prescription glasses on. With the standard shield the wind whipping around my standard glasses would make my eyes water.

I am very satisfied for now.

Tried the 15" was to short for me, i'am 6'2". Sold that one to my buddy who is 5'10", he likes it, wind hits him right at forehead level. I just got the 16" version today, put it on but have not test rode it. I think it will work, it comes up to about chin level on me, meausures about 1.5" taller than the 15" version. I might add that cee baileys is a excellent company to deal with and has extremely fast shipping! Fit and finish is superb. This is the euro version by the way.

PhilM put one on his RG a few months back. Might want to PM him. I purchased a 15" Euro as well, but I did not have time to put it on. I had a KW 12" and it was ok, but from talking with Phil and others it seemed that the Cee was the way to go.

Im 5'7" and got the 15" Euro. Works as well as the stock shield, and looks better. I can still hear the radio fine, and no buffering.

I'm 6'2" and have the 15" euro am pretty happy with it myself wind isn't much of a problem a bit more than the stock sized Clearview and a bit more noise than it too, but not bad at all and I can hear my radio pretty good also. So much better than the KW flair I had it's not even funny!

Rideon, I might have to try the 16" if it's an inch and a half taller that would be perfect for me! Are you measuring from the little flat on the tach speedo cluster? any pics?

Thanks in advance Rideon!

I measured from the center screw to top of shield. I just went outside and measured from the top of instrument cluster and there is only a 1" difference, from center screw to top of windshield is a 1.5" difference. I guess the 16 incher is angled back more as well as being taller. As soon as I can get out for a ride I will let everbody know what I think. Sorry no pics.
