Default Road Glide Headlights. Removing The Bubble

I have seen lots of posts but I can't find specific information on the 09 RG headlights. I am removing the bubble and installing the CVO bezel (Part# 69987-09) Has anyone had issues with their headlights? Are they hardened and sealed for weather?

Thanks

I have used the SERG Bezel for two months now including a trip to daytona; no issues at all.

I've had mine installed for a couple of months now with no problems. But I'm a little curious if the headlights are sealed well enough to survive a drenching rain.

2 months no issues is a good start. Did you ride in the rain at all? Anyone else have input??

Thanks

had mine on about 3 months and no issues. that being said we are getting ready to hit the hard riding season so only time will tell. i think if you are driving in a hard hard rain its going to get a little water inside but you would have to be haulin' *** to get it forced in there. i would think no big deal since i have never seen a post on this issue....ride safe

If you are that concerned, why not buy the headlights that are in the Road Glide screaming eagle and swap them out? Just a thought.

The $64 million dollar question is whether or not it is necessary. Seems they are about $243 bucks yet no one can confirm they are different. Are they hardened on the CVO but not the standard? More water tight? Even the parts guy at the dealership was not 100% sure. If money was no object maybe it would make sense but a 40 dollar upgrade for appearance becomes a 300 dollar upgrade if the expensive headlights are required.

Thanks

I believe Dawg said that the part numbers are different.
