How about posting your heights and your windshield sizes??

I'm 5'11 on a SG and was looking into the 8" windvest sheild, but I'm a little scared its gonna be to short. Input please.

Yeah, me too!

I just searched for "Windshield" and ran onto this post. I'm 6'1" and wondered about replacing my SG 4" shield with something else for long rides.

Wayerd - not trying to hijack your post, I just have the same concerns and would like to see the replys you get.

9" Clearview smoked shield with recurve for me. I'm 6'3", can see over the windshield nicely and get no wind blast. Works perfect for me.

I'm 6' 1" I have the clearview +2 on my RG. All that head buffetting I had with the stock windshield is gone. The wind doesn't beat me up like it use to.
The edge of the windshield is about the same hight as my nose so I have no problems with seeing in the rain ( when it does rain in Phoenix....LOL) Just glad I put it on, makes the whole ride more enjoyable....

I'm 6' 2" and have a 9 1/2 Clearview smoked recurve. Works good for me.

5' 11" and 8" Clearview with recurve on my Ultra. Great visability over the shield and only feel a little wind on the top of my helmet at 75 MPH+. Highly recommended.

Wish I could add to the database but I still have three weeks (hopefully, only) until I receive my 10 1/2" Clearview with recurve for my 09 Ultra. This all seems to be a crapshoot to me; guess what you'll need, spend about $100, and hope for the best. Based on my measurements, I should be able to see over this shield. I can see over the stock shield if I sit bolt upright, which is tiring, so an inch and a half shorter should be OK.

I'm 6'1" with stock seat and bars, and the stock Ultra windshield (measures 12" from fairing to top) gives so much turbulence at 55 mph or higher that it blurs my vision. Maybe it's because I wear a full-face helmet; I've tried moving my head into a calm air region and can't find one.

I'm 6' with a 34" inseam, I was looking to buy the 8" clearview w/recurve. Would that be tall enough or should I go with a 9 1/2" ??

First let me say that it will probably make a difference if you have your bike lowered.
That being said...I'm 5'8 on a 06 ultra with lowering shocks on the rear. Front is stock.
I have the 8" clearview with recurve and it works great for me.
