Windvest and Clearview Guys

a good rule of thumb, if you want to look over the shield, is to assume your "normal" riding position on the bike and then measure or have someone measure to the tip of your nose.
That should be the height of the shield.
then measure to the top of the fairing, subtract that number from the first measurement and it will give you your shield height.
I'm 6' and I use an 11" shield. Some say that with the ClearView you can use a shorter shield. I tried the 9 1/2 and my teeth rattled, I sent it back.

Windvest windshield
I am 5'7". My bike is lowered alot and normally I run the 4" wind vest. For my ride to Daytona I purchased a 6" shield. The head bobble effect was completely gone I will admit but the dark smoke shield is too high for me and I don't like looking through it sometimes. It presented a problem as it got darker. As I said I found my self looking through it.

I would go with the 9 1/2.I'm 5'9" and have the 8" clearview with recurve on a 09 SG.I get some wind on top of my half helmet at 60mph.

5'9", 9" Clearview with Recurve works great. HERE'S WHAT I DID: to make sure the 9" would work, I measured up to 9" on my stock windshield and placed a small piece of "Scotch" tape across it. Then I rode around for about an hour to make sure I was seeing over it. Worked like a charm and the windshield is awesome.
