Default my 09 ultra fell over

I was moving my bike around in the garage and the kick stand caught on some thing and the next thing i knew the bike was on the floor. I could not upright it myself but a friend came over and we did get it back on its jiffy stand. I really looked it over good and there is not one scratch or ding or anything. Has anyone else had this happen to them and did you have any damage.

Does it appear to lean too far over when on the jiffy stand? What is the build date of your bike?

No i think the lean angle is right. The old man who owns it was not on the bike and just let it lean to far to the left while draging the jiffy stand on the cement and when the stand went up i lost it. Getting old is not for the weak. grin

OK, just checking 09 tourers built before 10-02-08 had some issues with the wrong jiffy bracket being used and can be replaced under warranty.

Happens to most of us sooner or later.
At least it happened to you in private and you and the wife weren't on the bike at the time. That can be frustrating and embarrassing. When it happened to me we had just come to a complete stop at a red light. No damage, as it caught on my Kuryakyn highway pegs first.
More damage to my ego than anything... learned a valuable lesson that day.

Happen to me while rolling it forward to check the air in my tires.
Rolled it about 6 inches and leaned it back over, the jiffy stand must have moved belong the locking point.
I was unprepared for this and fell on my, the fairing was damaged.
My son was there so he caught it before it hit ground, just the left side of the fairing hit my workmate and damaged my fairing. Not that noticable to others but I know it's there. It had 300 miles on it!

I admit, I cried like a girl !

Pretty easy mistake to make - now you know you always have to double check the kickstand. Yes I have had a tip-over without damage on both my EG Classic and my Streetglide. Very lucky, indeed.

At least nobody saw it happen. A damaged ego is harder to repair than scratched paint.
