Once you pull the "Heritage bars" back, they look very odd on a RK. I did much research on this subject last year, even sat on a RK with the Heritage bars and did not like the look or feel of the bars. You either need a taller ape style, or more of a buckhorn style. I went with the Chrome RK high bars and they fit and feel perfect for me. Proper wrist angle and are made for the RK.
Jonny, do ya have a pic of you sitting on the bike with the high bars?
I have one of me and the wife in my album. But I can find others or take a few if you'd like.
If it's not too much trouble, just one taken from the side of you on the bike holding the bars would be great. Just trying to get an idea how those bars change your arm position and posture compared to the stock setup.
hey guys same problem with heritage bars switched to easy reach handlebars whAT A difference i can sit back and cruise like im in my stratolounger and i don't have to twist the s**t out of my wrists
I put Heritage bars on my bike this winter. I bought real Heritage take-offs, not the Heritage-style. I have 'em angled back a bit and I haven't noticed the wrist angle. I haven't had a chance to ride more than a few miles, so I' curious if it will bother me in the long-run. Sitting in the garage, it seems comfortable... but it's going to take me a few miles to know for sure.
