Default Inner Fairing Touch up

Anybody got any suggestions (other than painting the whole thing) on how to touch up the stock black satin finish. Some spots are faded out from the sun. Maybe tire polish or a polish from the grills of an electric range top?

You can try "Back to Black" from Mother's.

Helped on a couple of my parts

Maybe that S-100 stuff that makes faded engine paint black again?

Gotta watch that stuff tho...

I have had it do more harm than good. Looks great putting it on, and then it somehow causes more fading.

From my experience I would not put it on a inner fairing.

Would not doubt that. I've used it on my rear brake master cylinder and the plug where the headset goes in. Other than that, haven't tried it anywhere

this may sound strange and I have tried several things on mine, but believe it or not baby oil will turn it back black. won't last forever, maybe a month or so and yes it is a cheap fix but it doesn't seem to hurt anything and it will make it black.

Its called Black Out by Clean Cycle Products: http://dinosdetail.com/products.html

It is da bomb! You put it on with those sponge throw away paint brushes. I did everything that was black on the bike and it will make the thing look like new, you will love it! I used about half of the 12 oz. bottle about six months ago. Been riding it all winter and the inner fairing still looks pretty good. I ran across these products while at Destination Daytona back in the fall, it was a detail shop named Dino's Detail. I also got the metal polish for the wheels, guess what? They looked new too!

I think I'll be trying this stuff. I did my inner with the Back to Black and it looks new so far. If it starts to fade then I'll definitely go for the Black Out.
