Default Just a Gripe

I've done nearly all the work on my RK Custom over the past year...enjoyed it all...but my only gripe through all the work I've done is that no matter how careful I am I'm going to strip out an overtightened bolt...and I've become a master at being careful and using lots of methods to coax tough ones out.

Had another project come to a screaching halt last night after following directions to the letter and then...sure enough...I ran across a bolt that was, once again, over-torqued...which...of course...made me "over-torqued"...

that's because if the bike gets worked on after it's built, the mechanic rarely uses the torque wrench to tighten bolts. I'm never surprised to see bolts over tightened on my bike.. it's more a question of which one is going to be too tight and is it going to break!
