Default abs on an 09 ultra

hi...
last weekend i traded my 07 ultra in on an 09 ultra w/abs. although i only have a whooping 10 miles on it (as it is still NASTY in wisconsin).....i immediately noticed the front brakes seem very spongy. (the rear feels fine). the dealer claims this is "normal" for an abs system. anybody out there with the same experience???
also, is there a different procedure for bleeding an abs system vrs the non-abs?? i was informed it must be hooked up to some wiz-bang anaylizer.
and o yes..a service manual has been ordered, so no comments on that plz!
TIA
rbt
09 ultra (seems tighter/smoother than previous rides)
07 ultra history
06 ultra history
03 rkc history
and a whoopass 57 isetta w/13hp

I have ABS on my 09 Street Glide. I just touch my front brake & it stops you. Had to get use to how touchy it is. I had dual front disks on my Suzuki C90 but these are a lot better. After having about 2900 miles on mine now I am adjusting to them. I like the way the rear will not lock up.

My brakes with ABS are anything but spongy, they are really sensitive.

what happens is when I first squeeze the front brake the lever goes fairly low, but if I release it and re-apply the front brake then it's fine.

I don't believe this is normal. I just touch my front brake and it is braking right away.
