Default '09 Road Glide w/ Ape Hangers?

I love the look of Road Glides with ape hangers. Anyone have any suggestions as what to do? I'd like to know if anyone has apes on their Road Glides and if they installed them.

Does he like them and was it a pain to put on? Also, do you remember what length you needed for clutch/brake extensions.

He loves them, don't remember the lengths offhand. You would also need TBW extensions for your 09

Im torn on this issue. I had 16" apes on my RK, and loved them. However, I dont like the look of apes on a fairing bike. It just looks too abstract, depending on the windshield used. Im thinking of going with some bikini bars for a low wide look. On the TBW, cant you just extend the wires just as you would with the controls? I dont see why it wouldnt work.

"Abstract"? It looks like a wing on a Hyundai. LOL, To each his own though.

I went with Chubby's 515 "mini apes". They fit me perfect and I think they look pretty cool. Not to high and really give it a different look. They are 10" and I didn't have to do any extentions.

IMO some handlebars are meant to be used only on Road Kings, and ape bars are one of them.
