Default Road King 18" Ape Hanger change

I can not get a straight answer from any of the local bike shops. I have purchased 18" ape hangers for my 2004 Road King Classic but no one can tell me the exact cable lengths I need. All they do is give me a price and say this will work. Any help with this would be great. also if anyone has any tips on changing these out let me know thanks.

What type of bars are you using? I put Chubby 12.5" on mine and I ran in to the same issue. Then I found people with the same bike and the same bars and different cable lengths. The best advice I could give would be to mount your bars and measure to make sure you get it right. If you order cables too short you are screwed.

every application is a bit different. I think the best thing to do is to mount the bars and take several measurements until your sure you've got the length nailed.
I put the 16's on that you see in my sig picture. I used +8 on everything and it worked well. For 18's, I'd go +10 on everything. That should work fine.

+1 on the 10 over cables and lines. If you don't want any down time while you wait for the cables and lines it doesn't take much to release the clutch cable from the lever and hold the new bars in front of the old bars and measure.
It does help to have a good parts guy at the stealers.

Welcome to the forum.

I am going with the Burly Gorilla 18's.
