Default XM Direct/Biketronics/Sony radio

Hello All,
I have a question about XM Direct and my Sony XM ready radio. Where do you have your XM radio antenna mounted ? If I understand correctly reception with the antenna mounted inside the fairing on top of the radio isn't that good. If you mounted it outside the fairing, where/and how is it mounted. Last question, how do you have the antenna cable routed ?
Thanks for the help.

What bike do you have?
I have my antennae come up behind the windshield. Between the shield and the fairing. I filed a microscopic V in the fairing so as not to pinch the wire. Exterior double sided tape to top of fairing.
In my experience inside the fairing does not work. While you may have good signal some times it tends to lose signal a LOT more often. My 2 cents.[IMG][/IMG]

You guys should have got Sirius, because my antenna is in the fairing on top of my radio on my Road Glide and I have full signal strength pretty much all the time.

Mine is on top of the radio inside the fairing and I do not have any issues.
