Default They don't deserve your business and why

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and I just feel the need to let everyone know where NOT to buy a bike, HOT METAL HD West Mifflin, PA. Why? They are the only dealer for miles around that does not give you 20% off on parts and accessories for 1 year after a new bike purchase. They also add things into the sale and tell you it's standard practice, like a battery tender for $50 when you can get one off the shelf there for $30. Imagine that, how hard up can they be? And if you have anything swapped out before delivery, pegs for forwards, grip, mirrors, ect., they do not return your removed parts, they sell them at flea markets and reuse them when they can.

Feel free to let the rest of us know who to avoid. Times are hard, good time to weed out the bad apples.

Things must be mighty different where you live. Here in Eastern PA, I don't know of ANY H-D dealer that gives you 20% off for a year, a month, or even a day after you buy a bike from them. And if you pay $50 for a $30 item and don't demand the return of your take-off parts, who's fault is that?

I'd have done my bitching at the dealership where it would have meant something.

I didnt get 20% off for a year when i bought my bike. As for parts, do it yourself and you won't have to worry about them keeping your stuff.

I bought in eastern PA at Electric City HD (www.echd.com) and got 15%off for a year, I was comparing with Baer (www.baer-inc.com) again in eastern PA and I believe they give 15% off for a year also.

I buy my parts from Chicago HD and get 20% off and no sales tax... Can't beat that deal.

As far as when I purchased my scoot- NO, they didn't give me 20% off on parts and as others say if you want your take-off parts just ask for them or do it yourself.

I bought my '07 Fat Boy from Noto's (owned by the Noto family who also owns Electric City) in November of 2006. I got a free VIP card good for one year which entitled me to 10% off parts except on Tuesdays when it was 15% off. The Electric City deal was the same at the time.

In any case, 15% is not the same as 20%. As I said, I don't know of ANY dealer in this area that gives 20% because there aren't any around here that do.

Yupper thats where i got mine and its true... you also should have got an extra 5 % on your birthday.. too bad a massive heart attack and my crash ruined my chances on all my discounts ...
They will deal on parts too. Look for the other thread. And I dont know about you guys out of state but im pretty sure it the law here you have to return all parts even swapped out ones unless agreed on otherwise.. Sure they sell parts on a parts table in the store with big discounts but they are takeoff no one wanted and close outs... Ive never seen them at a swap...
