Out of curiosity - what dealer did you get it from??

I have a 09 Ultra with only 1600 miles yet I noticed the other day the business end of the metal pins had been bent upward and they had only been off the bike a couple of times. This is a weak spot on the pins because if the little sliver of metal at the end can bend that easily, it can also break off just as easily. I'm with some of these other guys, I think I'm going to put bolts in mine.

I don't want to be inconvenienced with out a bag either.
Today's project is to bolt the bags on and relocate the air fitting. I've read here at least a dozen times in the last year and a half of bags that fall off. Its a fact the pins get stressed with their design. One trip to the HD shop for oil and a filter or the wife that packs too much junk in the bag can stress the pins. 1/4" bolts fender washers and nylock nuts.

I think I'd go with wingnuts and lock washers. Should stay put and still be fairly quick release.
