Thanks for all of the comments and replies. Had 80 degree weather yesterday and bike night down town last night so I am just now reading the posts. It was the first time to ride this year and I used every minute that I could.
Just out of curiosity, on your bike with the tour pack like that - can you rest comfortable against it while having a normal position at the handle bars? Or are you pulled away from the back rest?
jbob, I love the look of your bike with the TP like that. I'll probably have to switch racks on mine because I have the passenger location, and so far I've not had a passenger. Is your detachable?
PS. I also love your shield the way it is
From your photo, it appears to me that if you had your back against the backrest, that your hands would not reach the bars. True? So that defeats the purpose unless you just like "that look" correct?
Ok, it's time to get the general opinion on the looks of the new tour pac. I don't ever ride two up so I went with the back rest option and it really works well. What does it do for the look of the bike? I have only seen one other bike with this configuration, so it must not be that popular as most people like to carry a passenger at times. Your thoughts?
I can rest my back against the pad and it really is like sitting in a comfortable chair. I can reach the handle bars with ease, so that is no problem. Put the cruise on, legs on the foot pegs, lean back and these old bones can stay up with the best of them.
The windshield will stay. I have a clock works shorty if anyone wants it, just pay the postage.

It's my BIL's bike. It's detachable. And that's the KW shield. He just bought a taller one from Cee Bailey. He doesn't like the "wind"
Post the seat here on the forum and someone will buy it. Better yet, make it for sale in your signature line so all can see it on every one of your posts. It will sell. I love the stock FLTR Seat and have no inclination to change it out right now. It's quite comfy for me!
