Big day tomorrow. After thinking about a Street Glide for more than a year I finally decided to take the plunge. Tomorrow I’m picking up a Vivid Black 2009 FLHX with Cruise, ABS and Security system.

I'm plan to take a half day off and heading into Oklahoma for the afternoon. Weather forecast is for a high of 77 tomorrow, 71 Saturday and 60 on Sunday so I hope to get 400-500 miles in by the end of the weekend.

While I am pretty stoked about getting a new bike I am also a little sad since I will be trading my 2005 FXDI. I have ridden her more than 45,000 miles in the last 4 years and have allot of GREAT memories but hopefully I will get as much enjoyment from my FLHX as I have from my Dyna.

 

Congrats! Mine is scheduled to be built tomorrow. So what kind of deal did you get?

Congrats! I went by the dealer today to check on the progress of my SG and she is almost done. They are waiting for my back rest and my 07 RK. I did the stage1 with Cycle Shack slip-ons and it sounds awsome! I cant wait for the weather to get better here in Chicago.

MSRP, no freight, setup or dealer fees of any type, 1000 mile service and two T-shirts N/C & $8500 for my 2005 FXDI with 45,000 miles. While not a great price the area of Arkansas where I am isn't doing too badly as far as the economy is concerned so they aren't giving big bucks off their bikes. As a matter of fact they have aroud a hundred bikes on the showroom floor and everyone has $3-5k worth of chrome and accessories. Many have the 110ci motor. I went to a couple of dealers in Missouri and they were all pretty much the same.

The only bummer is when I went to see the assembled bike I noticed a defect in the paint on the back fender so they are going to have to order me a new one.

 

Congrats on the new scoot! I've had my 08 SG since July and have 4100 miles on it.
I love it. The stereo, the cruise, the ride and not to mention they are breathtakingly
beautiful! Ride safe!
