Pros/Cons Cycle Mate Trailer
For reasons I don’t want to face I’m going to get a trailer (yes I’m old). I came across the Cycle Mate, has anyone tried one?

I bought a new one, CM2000 in 1991. I pulled it behind Gold Wings for 15 years. Never had any problems at all. It pulled great. Would notice some bounce going over RR tracks, but other than that it was a great trailer. Probably pulled it in excess of 50,000 miles. In 91' I paid $700 for it. Bought it at Niehaus Cycle Sales in Litchfield, IL. Sold it two years ago for $950. Moved up to an escapade trailer and the CycleMate does the same job for a whole lot less $$$.

Great trailer
A couple suggestions - get the swivel hitch - will prevent accidental disconnect
get the bearing buddies so you don't have to pull to pack bearings
get the additional brake lite -
Had a similar for over 5k in 2 states - no problems sold it for 2 1/2 times the $600 paid originally and got the Bunk type trailer till 85 wing retired.
good luck on your choice.

bearing size 95 cycle mate 2000 ltd
Just wondering if anyone could tell me the bearing size for a 95 cycle mate 2000 ltd. The bearings in the one I bought seem to be good, but I'm wanting to buy a set to have on hand. Just in case.
I don't want to pull good ones out just to get the numbers off them and risk damaging them.
Thanks for any help.

The only things that would get damged would be the seals that should be replaced anyway.
Also have you checked the date code on the tires?

I was just wanting to know if someone from all these post I've read about these cycle mate trailers, if someone actually has the part number or size of the bearings that fit these trailers. There seems to be a vast amount of info shared about them (the trailer) .I have already cleaned and packed them and installed bearing buddies on it. And didn't get the number off them. I just want some extras to keep on hand. I'm one of those better safe than sorry people and try to stay prepared for situations that might arise while out on trips. I try to be a very handy and prepared individual.
