Default PCV slower startup on 08

I just installed the FuelMoto retro PCV on my 08 Ultra along with Stage 1 air and Suptrapp SE mufflers. The installation went smoothly and the bike started right up. Have not been able to take it for a ride yet but it certainly seems like it's going to run better. I noticed that when starting it now takes and extra revolution or two when before it was instantaneous. Not a big deal but I am wondering if this is normal for this setup.

Thank you

I have the PCIII and the start-up is like you describe.

A long post last year on the subject and a lot of folks, me included, hit "start" right after the "run" right away and it fires up instantly.

Did a 103 on a bike last week, put the PCV with A/T on it. It was turnin over and over to crank. I've been updating the trims and its starting to crank faster, don't ask my why , thought it might of been something with the timing. KNow the Tuner and A/T just adjust the afr's.
Did you git auto tune with yer bike.

hmmm. does waiting for the engine light to go out when u first turn on ign and pur switch to run help ?
i was told by my HD dealer to wait from engine light to go out to allow fuel pump to pump few seconds and it would start quicker.. dont know if this is true or not.. just suggesting something to try. .did anyone ask Jamie is from Fuel moto if this is normal ?

Interesting... I thought it just was my bike.
My '07 now takes an extra revolution or two to kick over now also with the PCV installed. I thought it was the colder weather and older battery, but I don't think that's it.
Hopefully iclick or Jamie or 09SG will come on and comment...

We have not seen any bikes in house that have experienced any starting delays and our 09 does not start any different than stock. Of the large amount of pre-09 PC-V's we sell we have had a only a few customers with that have stated it takes a couple of revolutions to start. This is not a problem, and it appears to be due to the way the PC-V boots up when you press the start button which may take 500ms. Most riders will not ever notice the difference.

A battery with low voltage could easily cause this delay.

Try starting immediately after turning on the ignition switch. IOW, don't wait for the engine light to extinguish, as this isn't necessary. I never wait when starting my '07 and have never had a problem, and neither my owner's manual nor service manual say anything about waiting for the engine light to turn off before starting.
