As stated above (have had both the PCIII and PC-V).....turn on the ignition, place switch in Run, hit the starter, instant start. Waiting for the engine light to go out will result in the extra revolutions before firing (at least on mine it's that way with either PC).

 

I tried throwing the switch and starting it right away, before the light went out. It kept sticking in the "high idle" mode.

When I shut it off and then started it after the light went out it ran fine. Turned over a few times before starting, but no high idle.

 

so did u resolve the starting issue ?
was it normal or PCV induced ?

 

Since installing my PC V, Ive noticed a few extra turns to get the bike started if I wait on the light to clear. Like others have said, Ive also turned on the switch, then hit the starter...fires up right away.

6 one way....half dozen the other for me.

PS....my starter has 10000 miles on it....but only 6000 on the bike. Wonder WHY???...lol
