Default What Stabalizer Do you have.

I've been debating the idea of getting a stabalizer for my 07 RKC. I seem to have acquired a riding style that I feel some read end movement when I get aggressive taking turns and when I am on the highway. Which stabalizer everyone is using? Are they worth the $$$? thanks in advance.

I just put a TWR missing link on mine. It works well with my Wheeldock center stand. The TWR is a nice looking well made item! The bike feels better from about 40 mph and above, much more responsive. I got out yesterday 50* here and did some highway and back road riding. My 07 feels more BMW like if that makes sense? I sure think it is well worth the money.

I have the TWR on mine for 2 reasons. 1. It was a lot cheaper for my 01 as it mounts to an existing nut on the frame. 2. I felt it would be stronger as it mounts behind the trans as opposed to between the trans and engine. My simple mind tells me the leverage is higher the farther away from the pivoting point, the pivoting point being the front mount.

I have the Bagger Brace and it is worth every $$$ paid. It is like riding a whole new bike once installed.

I have the Ride Str8, one of the original stabilizers that has the same design as the TWR and others. All of these devices basically have the same effect and should work as advertised, although one, the Alloy Art, is far more complex than it needs to be IMO. The True Track has a reputation for clearance problems on the right side and that's the reason I didn't buy it, and others that use the "dog bone" (frame cross-member) for anchoring may interfere with aftermarket centerstands or jacks that use that location as a lifting point.

Progressive is also making a stabilizer with the same basic design as the Ride Str8 and TWR. It's about $175 on Ebay (including shipping) which may be the best bargain out there.

TWR was installed last fall and it does make the bike handle better. No problems at all.
