I have the 9 1/2" recurve and it blocks more wind that the 12" HD windshield.

 

+1 on the clearviews with recurve ..mines a 8" dark grey and im 6'2" ..no buffeting

 

same for me .. I get no more wind than the stock shield..

 

I had a regular 9" Cee Baileys and changed to the 9.5" with recurve and it seemed to be a slight improvement. I look over both and I'm 5' 10"

 

Same height here in dark gray...Ordered blem as well and couldn't find the defect. Hope you enjoy your new shield. Ride Safe!!!!

 

I have a 14" Dark Gray Clearview with recurve. With the new frame design on the 09 Ultra and with the backrest I am further up on the front of the seat than on prev ultra and was looking way over the stock shield (I'm 6'4 tall). Beleive it or not I can see quite well over the 14 inch shield. With the addition of the fork baffle and the clearview shield sure makes for a better ride. I originally ordered the shield as new because they had no 14" blem at the time. They make every shield to order. That's why they have a 3 week turnaround except on blems. After waiting 3 wks for them to make it, they called and said it came out of the mold "imperfect" so they took $40 off the price and shipped it to me, with my permission of course, I installed it, still can't find the imperfections. Great people to do business with.

 

I just put replaced my 4" SG shield with the 8" recurve and tried it this morning. The improvement was huge. I'm 6 and tend to sit low and also had MCC lower my seat by an inch this winter so the total effect was great. I can see over the shield but the buffetting is greatly reduced. I could actually feel my face when I got to work this morning! (40 in Milwaukee today...)

 

+1 I have the same windsheild and feel the same way. Also, get the Blem - I could not find anything wrong with the one I bought.
