Here is my setup ...Ram mount and a plug in the inner fairing .. Works great and allows adjustment from bright sun and is right at fingertips ... also allows quick 2 second removal when parking the bike. It does leave the ball mount on the switch housing when not installed but the ease of use outweights the ball when its off the bike.
I also put pics of my Sirius radio on the glove box door. If it rains I put the sat radio in the pouch ... ride safe

this is with the gps unplugged and the waterproof cap in place

The sat radio wiring goes up through the fairing and plugs in to the factory cig lighter and the antenna is on top of the dash pad with the wiring under the fairing

Default GPS Mount

Haven't tried this myself but it looks like a neat set-up

http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...cID/30/IMID/91

If the link doesn't work the mount can be found on the Kuryakyn website, under touring, rider comfort
Its a gps mount which replaces the fuel door

This isnt a bad product - and i may end up trying it -- right now i'm just trying to configure a very clean fairing mount so the GPS is in my line of site as opposed to looking down at the gas tank..... but it is a good solution -- Thanks! I've never seen one in person

Default Ram Mount for iPod

I use the RAM mount for my 60gb iPod and it works fine. Only bad thing is I cannot use the scroll wheel to look through songs since the ram mount has a plastic sleeve to protect it from rain doesnt let you do that, although you can FF or RW, Play or Pause the songs fine. I use it all the time.

Plus I can throw a litrle lock Master onto the mount to securely lock the iPod in place so it does not vibrate off.

You can use the extra power lead and ground that is bundled with the headlight harness. Just pick up some spade connectors for the leads.
Great find! Thanks
