Set aside there is no sub...this system can rival many car systems.

I also have a alpine deck and as of right no have 2 6x9's in the bags and 5.25 infinity kappa speakers in the dash and so far so good. I might change the infinity's later on and go with alpine r series coaxials, but not sure yet. Im happy with my setup right now.
Bang for the buck, I'd go with that mini arc amp, and just pick aftermarket 5.25 speakers.
Did you get the PDX 4.100 in the fairing? Nice choice in a amp, all digital

The J&M Corporation Speaker upgrades for the Harley systems are certainly the best bang for the buck ,,, bar none ,,,

not only do you get a significant increase in volume and performance by just changing the speakers for only $129.99 pr (new two-way fairing speakers), if you do decide to add an amplifier to the stock system, the J&M speakers will handle up to 140 watts of power each ,,,,,

the J&M's also use high-flux strength, lightweight Neodymium magnets, so that you don't have 20 pounds of speaker in your fairing breaking the mounting studs out as you drive down the highway ,,,,,

My two-cents worth ,,,, JMJOHN .,,,, john@jmcorp.com ,,,,,

Its all about what you personally are looking for. I looked at numerous systems before I decided on one particular system. I suggest anyone to get more than what you want because its better to have too much than not enough. I started out with a budget just like you but I only wanted to do it one time. Just IMO

My sentiments EXACTLY !! I only wanna do this one time, and do it right. I don't want this to be an ongoing obsession, and neither does my wallet !!

These are $550 on the Alpine website, but a couple of sellers have brand new ones on EBAY for $300 or under.

If I need to replace the head unit/radio, I live in Vegas, where a few of the bikes/dressers have the retractable LCD 7" screen. They burn music videos to DVD, and play them on their unit. Very impressive.

What is a good recommendation for something like that ??

Yeah, you can find those pdx amps for under 350 easily. its a digital amp, so less power drainage. i'll swear up and down on these amps. But as Ive said Im not bad mouthing any company's, just ones Ive used. J&M speakers Ive heard are awesome speakers, but I never knew anyone having them except hear on this sight, and since I cant actually hear them, I didnt go with them. Same with Hawg Wired, but that price tag.....Ill go my route again.
