Default Memphis Shades Replacement Plastic Sizing

I am trying to replace my plastic with a MS shield. Please no referrels to other manufacturers unless you are willing to send cash.

I have searched all the threads for the right answer to no avail. Even called MS directly and the chick was clueless.

Look at this page and the base of the shield to the top measurement for the FLHR is 22"

http://www.memphisshades.com/HDLDrep...plastic1.shtml

Then it lists 15", 17", 19", 21". Are they -7", -5" -3", -1" from that measurement?

Stock Shield measures 20" which is what I am trying to get close to.

WTF am I missing???

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and experience.

I think that illustration is just to show you how they measure their own shields. I would think that the 19 or the 21 would work for you. I don't blame you for wanting to stick with Memphis Shades, they make a nice shield at a fair price. I'm very happy with mine.

Memphis Shades replacement shields are measured from top center to the center of the headlight cut-out. Put the end of your tape measure just above the nacelle spear and lock it onto your stock shield. Now measure to the top.

If you want the same size shield, that measurement is the corresponding M.S. replacement shield to buy. I got the 17", which is a little lower than the stock height. I like to look over the shield, not through it.

20" is stock, so either go with 19" or 21".

I'm ordering a 21", gives some room to play and you're still nice and cozy behind the shield. LOL.
