It's really pretty easy to install and remove the bar once you figure it out.

I can't think of a single thing I have bought from Harley that had good instructions. If you are mechanically inclined it helps. I've put all of my own stuff on, but I may as well have just burned the instructions.

I bought all the stuff for my 06 classic (removable trunk and sissybar and docking kits..
I got all this stuff in november (pre unemployment) I decided tween xmas and newyears to put it all together . I had opened all the boxes and got all the instructions out . I spent an evening pondering the instructions and the next day looking at all the parts in the kits... About 5 hours later i had it all installed and i did stuff they didnt tel you to do like re using some of the original fasteners so it didnt look so much like an add on with all different bolts.. I had no trouble and you have to remember it takes 2 docking kits if you want a removable sissy bar for the passenger and these kits cover a few different years so your gonna have extra parts.. I also used locktite (blue) on everything just because.. Really its not that hard and i enjoyed doing it..

Default docking hardware

after i chucked the instructions it was fairly easy.. only thing that pissed me off was the fact that the 2 flat connectors that go between the docking points are not included in the docking kit.. thats just F##### stupid
