Another . . . Rear Shock Question
I bought some Street Glide rear shocks that were replaced before the bike left the dealer. I want to lower my Ultra a little. The guy I bought them from said the dealer didn't plug them very well and some oil leaked out before he got home.
Is there an easy way to tell how much oil they need or do I have to empty them and start from scratch? How much do they hold?
Thanks,
Mike

Well, I think I know why the dealer that removed the Street Glide shocks I bought didn't plug them. I talked with a dealer and 2 indys today that told me if there was oil coming out of the air hose inlets, something's busted inside and the shocks are no good. They said there was no way they should leak oil out the inlets. This just doesn't make sense based on the info SteveO provided. Has Harley changed their shocks in recent years?
