I have an 09 Ultra & have 14,800 on my rear tire now & it still looks good for another 2K plus. Riding style will have a lot to do with how long it will last.
I have 13000 on my '09 Ultra and it looks as though it should be good for a few thousand more. Most of my mileage is on the freeway and although the tire has lost its shape somewhat, there is still plenty of tread left.

Ive got 4/32s front and 4/32s rear at 10000 miles. About 60% tread remaining, should get 15k easy. how many are physically checking tread depth, seems like a lot are eyeballing it.

I've got 4/32 left on front and rear right at 10k, about 60% tread left, should her 15k easy. How many are physically checking tread depth instead of eyeballing?
I have an 08 Ultra and got 19,976 miles on the rear Dunlop D402. The front tire is original and I turned 30,100 last Saturday during my 30,000 mile service. It is also a D402.
Just changed tires at 16,780 miles on my 09 Ultra before Bike Week trip. Front was pretty badly cupped but other than noise it didn't seem to be causing any problems.
I don't exactly baby my Street Glide and so far I have 15,200 on the original rear tire and it looks like it's going to make it to at least 20K. I can't imagine getting only 5K out of it unless your friend participates in a lot of burnout contests...
I just put a new rear on my '09 Ultra yesterday..... 17,000 miles but it could have gone another 2K or so (wasn't down to the wear bars yet). It's winter here in Wisconsin so I decided to swap out the tire before spring so I didn't have to mess with it once the riding season starts. I changed the front D407F at 9500 mi. because of cupping, it has a 408F on the front now and it still looks great with 7500 mi. on it. The rear tire is pricey so I'm not sure that 17-20K is enough to offset the high costs. It's nice to not have to change tires at 12K or so but the list price of $240 is pretty steep (luckily I got mine on sale for $195 at my dealer last month). Overall I'm happy with these tires.
Hod over 19000 miles on my 09. Wasnt bald but was in need of replacement. Not a super easy rider but then again, dont beat the crap out of it. Was well pleased with the mileage
