Default Fork Oil Amount???

Gotta buddies, also forum member, bike on the lift.
Installed some badass Renegade wheels and a few other things.

2008 Street Glide
Among those things, installed a Progressive suspension fork kit...lowered it 1"

Anyone know off hand how much fork oil we need in each leg?

Thanks!

The service manual has a procedure for setting fork oil hieght that requires a special tool. When doing a maintaince fork oil change,I have a backyard way of getting the same amount back in as I drain out. I take three 20 oz. plastic coke bottles and cut off the tops and clean out 1 of them. I drain the left fork into one, then I drain the right fork into another, then I take the clean bottle and I set all three of them next to each other on the bench, I fill the clean bottle to the same level as the used fork oil bottles. This is the amount of fresh oil I put back in. This is not a perfect method and won't help you with your lowered forks but it is good enough for doing fork oil change at 20,000 mile service interval, provided that you did not have a leak to start with.
