Default Looking to Add CB to 08 Street Glide

I'm looking at joining the local drill team, and a CB is a must. I'm looking at adding the Harley unit to my Street Glide, because I don't like the bulkiness of the JM kits, I prefer a clean install. I already have the advanced audio kit module taken care of (ended up saving a couple hundred bucks thanks to eBay).

My question comes to the Switch Kit - the catalog has 77173-08 @ $254.95. It says that the kit includes the Console Pod Assembly, Left-Hand Control Switch Assembly, and the Fairing Speaker Switch. I have seen several Console pods on eBay, which are much nicer than the one depicted in the catalog. Is anyone aware of individual part numbers for:
-Left-Hand Control Switch Assembly
-Fairing Speaker Switch

Also, if you have any recommendations for purchase locations for these types of electronics I'm all ears. At worst case, I'll use one of the 20% off vendors commonly referred to on the forum.

Remaining Purchase Items for this addition are (let me know if I'm missing anything or if you have anything you're looking to get rid of):
-Left-Hand Control Switch Assembly
-Fairing Speaker Switch
-Fuel Tank Console (w/ misc. Clips)
-Console Pod
-CB Wiring Harness
-Decision on Antenna Relocation for FLHX (CB Antenna Mount)

The console pod is different on 08-09 Im doing the same thing for my 09 street glide. I tried to get the parts of eBay my self no luck. The only part I got from eBay was the CB . The console pods you see listed on eBay will not fit your bike unless its listed for an 08-09 which I have not seen listed yet been looking for 3 months. I did see the console pod for the screaming eagle CVO touring it is painted and chrome real nice, I don't know the part number. I order my stuff with Zanotti should be hear this week will let you know the results.

Can anyone tell me if P/N: 76236-06R will work with an 08 radio on my Street Glide?

I talked to the Dealer about this upgrade. Not sure if its worth $1500. 00 for them to install just to communicate with fellow riders on trips with my HOG club. So I'm interested to see how you make out. Please keep me in the loop.

Patience on Ebay is the best, I did my CB upgrade for about $500. found the CB module, the switch housing and center console kit on ebay. I bought the antenna wiring and load coil along with the chrome center console from the dealer with a 25% off coupon sale. I got lucky, last year there was a guy selling surplus CB modules for $39 on ebay and got the switch kit for $150.

Keep watching and patience is the key, took me about 3 months to gather all the parts and put them on over last winter.

Do a search on the forum for converting a roadglide to an ultra. There is a really great write up with parts list on how to do this. I printed it out and took it with me to my dealer. I was able to add the cb for about $1100.00 with the dealer doing the install for 200.00. So I guess I spent about $900.00 on parts including some custom stuff.

My last thing I need to decide on is how to mount the CB antenna. I'm planning on getting a Tour Pak (going to convert my Street Glide to an Ultra all the way around). Is there a way to mount the CB antenna with the King Tour Pak? If not, will the Road Glide Ultra Tour Pak fit my Street Glide (I think the answer is yes - but just checking).

dwyer,

The CB antenna kit comes with the bracket to put on the tourpak. If you have the light kit on the tourpak, it can be added to that also.

Thanks Scott - I saw the AM/FM mount on the King Pack, but guess I just need to drill it for the CB then.
