Default Frogg Toggs-anybody use this brand?

I picked up a rain suit today at a local sporting goods store. It is the Frogg Toggs brand Road Toad suit. It claims to be motorcycle specific. It has reflective piping. I figured I would give it a try. I paid $49 bucks for it and it came with a nice little tote bag. Small enought to throw in the saddlebags and hope I won't need it.

Do not get them close to anything hot like a exhaust pipe.

Thats the only thing I have heard negative about the brand. I was told they have a heat resistant "patch" you can glue to the leg?

they work. they are real thin and when the water puddles on the seat you will know when you need a new set. and it does not take long. my wife's set has lasted well but i went through mine real fast. i now use all core tex stuff. expensive but has lasted very well.

your mileage may vary

edit to add: other than some t-shirts my rain gear and electrics are the only thing i wear that has the h.d. emblem. i could not beat the pricing on any of it with the discounts and the rain gear came out of an outlet store being it was not the current year.

Don't use the pants used them 3 times they tore at the seam. The jackets ok but wore out quickly. They are good in case of a emergency.

I've got a set (pants/jacket) of them. They work great and the best part is how small you can fold them up for storage almost anywhere.

I've had the same set of Frogg Toggs since Jan of 05. They are just now showing a little bit of wear.

When I'm on the bike and it starts raining, on they go and I do not shorten the trip. They are the most comfortable rain gear I have ever owned. They actually breathe like they say. This is not true in any other type of foul weather gear I have tried and I have tried many since I have worked outdoors for my entire working life. They pack down to a very small size which I find great for touring.

The only downside I find is that they make me look like the staypuft marshmellow man when I'm rolling on the bike. I don't care what I look like in the rain as long as I'm dry.

When it comes time to replace my raingear I'm going to buy another set of frogg toggs.
