Question How to lengthen brake line?

I have a 09 RKC w/ABS and I'm in the middle of changing out my bars to WO518's.

The front brake line is going to be short maybe 4". My dealer told me to add a braided line section underneath the tank area to get the length I need. So I have the line and the AN style fittings (which are 3" + 3" long - alone without adding any brake line).

I dont like the idea of 'adding' into the existing brake line.

Also, there isnt much room under the tank area to add all these fittings.

Stock Setup:
From the ABS unit it is hard line for about 3", then it connects to regular braided line for 4 inches, then back to a 6" section of hardline, then back to regular braided line all the way up to the brake lever.

Is there any reason why I couldnt just replace the entire line from the brake lever to the ABS unit with one piece of braided line (with a banjo fitting on each end)?

Anyone change theirs out yet?

Thanks in advance.

Ken

Contact Magnum Shielding to see what they have come up with for the new bikes with ABS.

I'd buy the right size. Sounds like adding to a brake line would cause you nothing but headaches
