Is it normal to grab on both sides of the ring gear and get some side to side play? the whole basket seems to move a very little bit? Bolt was torqued to spec 5k ago?

 

I just went throught that with my 1985 flht ..
Mine was the aftermarket clutch inner bearing was bad .
Could be the case with yours or the inner primary case bearing ..
Look behind the case at the front pully to see it it moves as you
wiggle the clutch.. If it does its the inner primary case .. if it does not, then its the inner bearing of the clutch..
