Just wondering if anyone has any serious miles on their '09 Touring model yet and how did the new designed tires hold up? I bought my '09 Ultra back in mid-August and only rode it for 3 months before winter arrived. I have 5,000 miles on it and the tires aren't showing any wear yet but just curious what to expect. Thanks for any replies, Larry
I have 7600 on my 09 Ultra riding pretty much 2 up all the time and the tires are holding up well. I had to replace the rear tire on my 07 SG at 8000 miles, but this back tire looks like it's easily going to make it over 10,000, and the front should go 15,000 by the looks.
5200 miles including about 3000 2-Up. They look almost as good as the day I brought it home. I really like the way they handle too. I moved over to the Street Glide from a 07 Sotail that had the 200mm tire and thought I would notice a huge difference in handling, but I think my 09 SG handles better than my old Night Train.
They'll last a bit longer, but know that they'll cost more when you do go to replace them. Cost per mile, prolly equal to the average set of Dunnies or Metzies or Avons.
Just my opinion. Don't plan on much over 12k (if your lucky) out of the fatty in the back.

Anybody put on over 10K or more yet? I do my own tires so cost isn't as bad but just curious when I'll need new skins. On the metrics I've owned I usually got 12K or so on a rear and more on the front. Spring needs to get here soon so I can try to wear these tires out!! Thanks for the replies so far, Larry
This is a thread that a lot of people want to know the answer to. I'm an agressive rider so I'm lucky if I get 8k out of my rear. If she gets 12k out of that rear I'll be damn happy. I'd pay the difference in cost just because the look is worth it.
