Default Tri Bar Run Break Light

I want to replace my standard running light Tri Bar with the Run\Break version. I searched Chicago Harley for part number 68358-07 and I got two hits on the search. One with a -07A on it. Anyone know the differance other then $8.

Thanks,

Just guessing until someone who knows chimes in but I would say that the '09's with the wider tire & fender would take a diiferent part number, hence the -07A. Again just my opinion.

No help here other than the -07A version yields no results on HD's website or Zanotti's. Let us know what you find out as I'll be buying one soon.

The 09 HD Book page 490 shows #68358-07 upgrades orginal equipment tri-bar fender light to a run/brake fits 06 and later FLHX models, retails for 89.95. The book did not list a -07A.

Strange, I looked on the HD site and only showed the -07 without the A.

When I typed in the -07A it came up with nothing.

Good point about the 09's being wider, i did not even think about that. They dont open for another 15 minutes so I will call them at 10 and update you guys with what I find out.

OK I just got off the phone with Chicago HD. He told me that the -07A replaces the -07. He said they do that for a number of reasons, could be packaging, price or there made a change to it. He did not know excatly why and did not have either in stock to compare. He did say if I wanted one he would have to order it and I would get the -07A. I hope that helps everyone.

I did ask about the 09's and he said it is a different part number all together.

Thanks,

Maybe they finally made one with a longer wiring harness. I heard guys complaining a few months ago that the harness was just barley too short to get it connected. Maybe they fixed that. In any case sounds like they must have modified something to fix a problem. I'd order the -07A part number.

I PM'ed Dawg to ask him to investigate. FWIW, the Tri-Bar fender extension HD sells with the run/brake light feature hasn't changed part nos., at least according to Chicago HD's website.

It's surprising to me that Chicago HD's website recognizes the '07A part number, but HD's website does not.

I agree Pingman, when I saw that on Chicagos HD site my next search was HD.com and could not find it. I called another local dealer and they did not know anything about the -07A part, but have the -07 in stock. Maybe Chicagos site has a typo. I am going to stop at my local dealer to get the -07 part but I will ask them to see if they can order the -07A part first. I assume if they cant that it must be a problem with Chicagos site.

BTW I will have the stock Tri-Bar light available if someone wants it.
