For the best electrical connection, attach the pig tail directly to the battery.

I find the best prices for Battery Tenders online, not dealers.

Directly to battery posts, with quick connect plug. Use it year round with no problems.

Little Battery Tender and you're good to go, I think I got the Junior model and I think that's the one you must be looking at at Walmart for that price. Make sure all your connections are good and snug.

Lots of places to get these Tenders, good luck.

Same here - Battery Tender Plus for several years on quads, bikes and lawn tractors, still working great. And I go directly to the negative terminal.

Strait to the battery with no problems. Had one on my 2001 FLHR from day one still had stock battery in it when I traded for the 2009 FLHR in Dec.

The reason you go to the frame is to limit current and protect the electronics. The tender is safe as it has the controls right in the unit. Very little amps at any time.
