No, it will raise you over the stock seat height and depending on your weight may push you forward a inch or so.

Had Mustangs on my previous bikes. This time I put a stock RG seat on the EG. Works great for me. The wife is getting used to the smaller pad. She can handle the 200-300 mile days any more than that she would ride with me. So I've kept this seat on. The Mustangs are the ticket.

I know '09 seat a little wider. I'm 6'5" 34" inseam and I went with Ride and Leather upgrade of my oe '07 seat. With pass. pillion insert out the door was like 149. Just another thought.

I bought a 09 Screamin' Eagle Road Glide seat for my 08 Street Glide....they can be bought new at the stealer too. Very soft leather, bucket is a little shorter and farther back...which is great for me as I am 6-0. The passenger area is wider also, very nice.

I just got a C&C solo with backrest. Since it's still winter here, I haven't been able to ride, so my review of it's comfort will have to wait. But it looks excellent on the bike; nice fit, and very well made. Got it in leather.

Not to hijack your thread, but I do have a question for others that have the C&C solo with the backrest. Does the backrest just slide into place without locking?

Ex-Corbin fan here and I have to agree w/ Ice. I have a custom C&C Sport Tour - hands down the nicest seat I've ever owned. Call Chuck @ C&C, tell him your a forum member and he will knock 10% off the price. Mine has a Stingray inset and gray "ghost" stitching and was cut back 2" for my 36" inseam.

Your going to love that bike James!!!

Love this seat on my '09 RG; it's very comfortable and the backrest is great. It's new this year for the '09 models, but it will also fit the '08's. Since the '08's have the narrower rearend, I've heard tell that the saddlbag lids will hit the sit when they open. But, no problem on my '09. Very comfortable and very convertible. I have both parts...
