Alright I just got the new Harley Shorty CB and Radio antennas for my 08 ultra and you just srew them on right? WRONG, I dont know what is going on but they wont thread on correctly. They have a little bit of nylon in the end before the metal threads start so it threads into the nylon part but wont start threading into the metal threads they just spin and spin like it isn't catching the metal threads. I have tried pushing to no avail I am about rready to pull that stupid nylon out tf there and be done with it. Anyone else have this problem.

Ummm........they should have set screws on the side. Unscrew them a bit then screw them on the mount.

No these new shorty antennas don't have any set screws that I can see. The stock ones I took off had the set screws.

I had the same experience. I got so pissed I took them back to the dealership for a refund. I have no idea why they wouldn't screw on but they damn sure wouldn't.

Totally off topic, ceg how are the saddlebag mod locks you made holding up? You should repost the pics on this "improved" forum

Same problem here...It took a few minutes of pushing down really hard on the antenna to get it to thread onto the metal stud. One things for sure, it's not going to unloosen on its own!!!
