Took the plunge - Fuel Moto package on the way

I have the standard DT baffle setup (2" right side, reversion cone on left) and before installing a cam upgrade (SE255's) last month the loudness was perfect for my taste. With the cams the loudness level is now higher, as I expected it to be, and a tad too much for my taste. So, I've ordered the smaller baffle size for the right (1.75"), and that should tone it down a bit without affecting top-end performance significantly. It should also bump the low-end up a tad, too, but probably not enough to notice either way. I think these will be perfect, as it's just barely on the wrong side of the loudness threshold now. The 255's are a mild upgrade and some cams increase volume even more, so if you do a cam upgrade be prepared for this.

I'm eyeballing cams now, which will make things significantly louder as well.

Good choice!
Bang for buck, you really can't go wrong with the setup. I was hesitant about the slash-ups on my FLHX in the aesthetics department, but I have to say after having them on and spending a couple of days with them - I'm extremely satisfied.
The sound is perfect, exactly what I was looking for. I had big shots long on my softail and it was LOUD. I still want to be able to hear my cd's and radio, and I don't want my ears to ring after a long trip. I want to maintain the function and comfort of the bike, I ride it nearly every day rain or shine.
Performance wise, I couldn't be happier... It's really a whole new bike.
Knowledge and customer support is top notch at Fuel Moto, the PCV is a great advancement over the PCIII. Plus, there is actually room for it under the seat compared to a softail, took me only minutes to get it seated and wires tucked nicely (I have ABS & Security).

My last bike had really loud pipes. I loved them. I am the only touring bike in the group I ride with. Everybody else has loud pipes. At first I was dissapointed with the volume of the sound of my DT Jackpots but not with the performance. I now have about 2500 miles on them and can say I really like the sound. They have a nice rumble and a good volume when you get on it. I can here my radio at cruise speeds no problem. My ears don't ring at the end of a long day of riding. But the bike sounds like a Harley , not a Goldwing. I either ride in front or in back when I ride with my friends now. Its funny, they all want my bike now!
