Default weird engine light

I recently had my RK at the dealer last week to install the SE cam chain tensioner upgrade. Just noticed that now, when I turn on the ignition, the engine light comes on as usual and the fuel pump primes and I start the engine, Everything starts and runs fine but a few seconds after the engine light goes out, it comes back on for about 10 sec. and then goes out. It then stays off until you start the bike again at which point it does the same thing. It doesn't matter if I start the bike or not. I still get the second light for a short while and it goes out. Engine doesn't miss a beat and revs and idles fine even when the second light is on. My question is, If it's setting a code, does anyone know what it might be since the second light will come on and go off even without the bike running. The bike runs fine and I really don't want to take it back to the service dept. if it's no big deal.

It's telling you that there is a "historic" code. Something happened a while back that caused a code. You can clear it or yourself or, I think, it will clear after 50 ignition cycles (assuming it doesn't keep throwing the same code).

OK, that makes sense. It never did that before I took it in to get the tensioner kit put in, so maybe the service dept did something to set a code, fixed the problem and didn't clear the code.
Thanks stro1965.

It could be something as simple as a misfire...my Fatboy did that a couple of times.

Yeah, I did a search and saw some threads about it. Also found how to clear it. I'll try to clear it. A miss fire or hiccup could of set it. My bike will do that if I don't let it warm up a while after it's been sitting cold. Thanks

Default my 06 classic

started that, it was only a plug wire, that was backing off the plug. she ran fine but the light would come on sometimes, mostly on cold start up.
